Our parade is special.

Our parade is big!

Our parade is fun!

The information below is from 2010. Some things may change, but the general idea should be the same. This will be updated in the Spring of 2011.

Begins at Noon on Saturday

Parade Theme: 2011 to be Announced in April!

Plan to stake your spot by midmorning on parade day and enjoy one of the best parades around. Not only is it full of local music and dancing, it is loaded with businesses, floats, emergency vehicles, clowns and all the other things that make the Shanty Days Parade popular year-after-year.

This year's Honoree is Jerry Matuszek a fixture in Algoma for many, many years. Jerry began the 5K walk/run 16 years ago and has built it into a well-known, much-looked-forward-to event. You may see him leading the parade in a 1935 Packard.

Whatever the reason you enjoy a good parade, you can count on this year's Shanty Days Parade. It beings a Noon sharp on SATURDAY. Come early and plan to enjoy the entire festival throughout the day and evening.

If you are interested in participatingt in the parade. Please select Application on the Parade Information's drop-down menu.
