March 2 (Sun) — Bridal, Prom, Special Occasion Fair: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Over thirty local vendors participate in this annual event at the Algoma Youth Club—right by Lake Michigan. 487-2041

May 10 (Sat) —Annual Ahnapee Trail Day. Sponsored by the Friends of the Ahnapee State Trail, this all-day event is loaded with activities for the whole family. Whether you ride a bicycle, enjoy horseback riding, or just like to hike, the trail has something for you. June 13-15 (Fri-Sun) — Annual Heritage Farm Bluegrass Festival at Heritage Farm (5 miles south of Kewaunee). Music and more all weekend. Two stages (both indoors), a campfire circle as well as a food and beverage court. 388-0604.

June 18 (Wed) – Music on the Farm at Heritage Farm (5 miles south of Kewaunee) 6-10 p.m. featuring Mark Jirikovec Band. 388-0604

June 21 (Sat) — Annual Great Lakeshore Tractor Rally at Heritage Farm (5 miles south of Kewaunee). 388-0604.

June 28 (Sat) — Annual Doll & Teddy Bear Show and Sale. Dealers from all over the U.S. come to Algoma to sell antique and collectible dolls, toys, bears, original artist dolls, original artist bears, reproductions, limited edition dolls and bears, antique bisque dolls, doll clothes, doll furniture, doll parts, patterns, stands, and many doll and bear-related items from the early 1900s to today’s collectible dolls and bears. July 26- Aug 3 - 26th annual Kewaunee/Door Salmon Tournament: More than $40,000 in cash and prizes will be on the line in the Midwest's most popular chinook salmon fishing contest. You can wet a line anywhere in Lake Michigan or Green Bay off the shores of Kewaunee and Door counties, with weigh-in ports at Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor and Washington Island. The tournament annually pays down more than 200 places and daily prizes are also awarded to the angler who catches the heaviest fish each day at all five participating ports - Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor and Washington Island. Tickets are $25 for the entire event or $13 for a one-day chance. For more information, call 883-9792.

On Saturday enjoy Kolache Festival with Kolache sales, bake-off and demonstrations at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. music, and more. On Sunday there's Polka Mass at 10:30 a.m. and the Czech Fest continues. 388-0604.

August 8-10 (Sat-Sun) — Shanty Days Celebration of the Lake. Huge three-day family festival. Friday kicks off with a book sale at the library. Entertainment on the grounds Friday night along with kid’s entertainment and great food tents. Saturday’s parade at noon is one of state’s largest community parades. The huge Arts & Craft Show and Street Market will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy entertainment at the main stage, kid’s activity area, and great food on the grounds. Photo contest, steam engine rides, fishing contest, games, 5K Walk/Run and more surprises await you. Sunday features an ecumenical church service by the lake. Great food and live music all day Sunday. Stay around for the grand finale fireworks over the harbor. Kids under 12 are free! 487-2041.

August 30 (Sat) — Kele Alpacas Fifth Annual Day on the Farm. Bring the whole family and spend the day learning about alpacas, what they can do and how they are used. Spinning and weaving demonstrations. Try your hand at felting. Mix of music provided. Food will be available, all proceeds going to support the Violence Intervention Project, Located approximately 10 miles west of Kewaunee, two miles south of Hwy 29 on County Road AB, east on Pine Grove Road. Watch for signs. Always Labor Day weekend.

September 12 & 13 (Fri & Sat) — 3rd Annual Bluegrass Adventure and Roots Festival takes place at the Algoma Hunting & Fishing Club on Willow Road, adjacent to Bruemerville County Park. September 20 & 21 (Sat & Sun) — Agricultural Heritage Days. This annual event is held at the Luxemburg Fairgrounds and features antique farm equipment, tractor pulls, horse pulls, demonstrations of old time farming and more. Watch food being prepared on antique wood-fired cook stoves. Large flea and craft area. 388-0604.

September 20 & 21 (Sat & Sun) — Wet Whistle Wine Fest. Plan to visit Algoma for this annual wine festival. You'll enjoy live music, heritage foods, fine arts, award-winning wines, and the "always-a-crowd-pleaser" grape stomp. October 4 & 5 (Sat & Sun) — 6th Annual Scarecrow Festival. Located just south of Algoma at Garden Angles, this third annual family-oriented event features scarecrow contests (visitors do the judging), entertainment, refreshments, games, crafts and more! Admission is free. 487-253

December 12-6 (Fri & Sat) — Christmas in the City in Algoma. Join visitors and residents as they celebrate the holiday season. Expect to see Santa; take a wagon ride; and listen (and even sing-along with) choirs singing your favorite Christmas carols. Spend the days shopping; getting ideas from the table setting displays at the American Legion Hall; buy craft or two at the youth club, have milk & cookies with Santa, and more! December 6 (Sat) — Christmas in the City Parade! Our two-day celebration of the season ends with the great Parade finale. Be part of the parade as it goes through downtown, or just find a spot on the street and watch the steam engine, fire engine, Algoma school organizations and kids, Santa, and others drive by. December 6 (Sat) – Christmas in Algoma Salute to Sausage Breakfast & Showcase of Specialty Food Gifts. Salute to Sausage Breakfast features sausages made by specialty sausage makers from throughout northeast Wisconsin. Serving from 8 a.m. to noon. 487-9750
