from all over the U.S. come to Algoma to sell antique and collectible
dolls, toys, bears, original artist dolls, original artist bears,
reproductions, limited edition dolls and bears, antique bisque dolls,
doll clothes, doll furniture, doll parts, patterns, stands, and
many doll and bear-related items from the early 1900s to todays
collectible dolls and bears. Bake sale and country kitchen on site.

26- Aug 3 - 26th annual Kewaunee/Door Salmon Tournament: More
than $40,000 in cash and prizes will be on the line in the Midwest's
most popular chinook salmon fishing contest. You can wet a line
anywhere in Lake Michigan or Green Bay off the shores of Kewaunee
and Door counties, with weigh-in ports at Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon
Bay, Baileys Harbor and Washington Island. The tournament annually
pays down more than 200 places and daily prizes are also awarded
to the angler who catches the heaviest fish each day at all five
participating ports - Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor
and Washington Island. Tickets are $25 for the entire event or $13

at Heritage Farm (5
miles south of Kewaunee). On Saturday enjoy Kolache Festival with
Kolache sales, bake-off and demonstrations at 10 a.m., noon and
2 p.m. music, and more. On Sunday there's Polka Mass at 10:30 a.m.
and the Czech Fest continues. 388-0604.

8-10 (Sat-Sun) Shanty Days Celebration of the Lake. Huge
three-day family festival. Friday kicks off with a book sale at
the library. Entertainment on the grounds Friday night along with
kids entertainment and great food tents. Saturdays parade
at noon is one of states largest community parades. The huge
Arts & Craft Show and Street Market will run from 10 a.m.-6
p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy entertainment
at the main stage, kids activity area, and great food on the
grounds. Photo contest, steam engine rides, fishing contest, games,
5K Walk/Run and more surprises await you. Sunday features an ecumenical
church service by the lake. Great food and live music all day Sunday.
Stay around for the grand finale fireworks over the harbor. Kids

27 (Wed) - Music on the Farm at Heritage Farm (5 miles south

30 (Sat) Kele Alpacas Fifth Annual Day on the Farm. Bring
the whole family and spend the day learning about alpacas, what
they can do and how they are used. Spinning and weaving demonstrations.
Try your hand at felting. Mix of music provided. Food will be available,
all proceeds going to support the Violence Intervention Project,

This annual event is held at the Luxemburg Fairgrounds and features
antique farm equipment, tractor pulls, horse pulls, demonstrations
